Ep 40: John Thomas

John Thomas joins me for episode 40.  We chat about his book "Kalamazoo Gals", and the amazing story behind these women who built guitars for Gibson during the World War II era.  John poured his heart and soul into this story and it forever impacted his life.  After writing Kalamzoo Gals, John teamed up with musician Lauren Sheehan to record an album using several Banner Era Gibson guitars made by the Kalamzoo Gals.  The song at the end of this episode is "Soldier's Joy", played by Lauren Sheehan (using a 1943 Southerner Jumbo) and John Schwab (using a 1943 L-50).
